| Honestly. Well something very much like this. One minute I had a rational girlfriend who was wondering what all the TWILIGHT fuss was about, andthe next thing I know she's going apeshit and telling me her new happy place is watching the movie version of TWILIGHT...EVERY...DAY. Of course the movie obsession only came after she had read the books back to back. I can only feel that there are other men out there who are faced with this very real and frightening virus that is spreading among our girlfriends, wives, sisters, and mothers. She asked me the other day why I couldn't be a vampire. How the hell am I supposed to answer that?!?!?! I actually took the time to read the series, and you can find my review on the message board. It honestly wasn't that bad, and the books get better as they go. Still the depth of fan they seem to inspire is nothing short of astonishing. You would think my story would end there wouldn't you? Oh ha ha, Dom's girlfriend is a TWILIGHT superfan. How mildly funny Dom...nice comic. Oh no. Oh no no no. See what did my girlfriend do that is so different many other Twilight fans? My girlfriend found and became friends with the real Robert Pattinson. Who is that you ask? That's the fucking lead in TWILIGHT. That's who plays EDWARD and who most of the women with pulses have now declared a sex symbol. Yes...fucking Cedric Diggory. How the hell am I supposed to compete with that? Granted they talked about iPhones and he talked about his girlfriend and she talked about me (at least I hope so)...but still. First Johnny Depp, then Nathan Fillon, and now Robert Pattinson? Dude. Seriously? Only MY girlfriend would find a way to actually meet the people involved with the movie about the book she loves so much. This is my life people...it's not just a cartoon!
