| Something a bit different today. I don't know what prompted this...but I know I've been thinking about that remake. I know I am concerned. Out of all the movies about ancient Greek myths that could have been made, why did we have to remake one that was already done and is considered a classic? Were people asking for this to be remade? Were the fans clamoring for it? What the hell? That said...it looks amazing. Amazing like only a bloated, effects driven big budget Hollywood blockbuster can look. Will it actually BE amazing is the question I'm asking. If it is? Awesome. I'll be stoked but still wondering why we needed to remake it. If it's bad. Like GI JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA bad (which they just greenlit a sequel for....and yes that sound you hear is me vomiting in my mouth) or TRANSFORMERS 2 bad? I will quietly exit the theater...go home...and watch the original until it makes the memory of the bad men and their stupid movie go away. I'm serious. Remaking THE CLASH OF THE TITANS or NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is about as useless as remaking WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (excuse me...CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY). It wasn't necessary!!!
